Grey Bruce Hospice continues to require masking for all staff, volunteers, caregivers, and visitors within common areas inside Chapman House. Chapman House residents will be supported in their personal choice regarding masking for their visitors within their own private room. Masking remains in place for staff and volunteers when in resident rooms.
“As a small organization and hospice home, it is important that we continue to protect our vulnerable residents and their visitors, while also respecting our staffing challenges and maintaining our staffing ratios to ensure our eight resident beds remain available, by guarding against infection with Covid-19 and other airborne viruses,” said the hospice.
Passive screening requirements for staff, volunteers, visitors, and caregivers continue. Grey Bruce Hospice will continue to promote self-monitoring for symptoms of Covid-19 and other respiratory or infectious diseases to prevent the spread of illness. Masks will continue to be made available for all staff, volunteers, and visitors at Chapman House.
