Arrests have been made in relation to an ongoing homicide investigation being conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS). The investigation began when Sharifur Rahman, 44 years old of Owen Sound, was assaulted in the area of 2nd Avenue East in Owen Sound on August 17, 2023, at approximately 9:20 p.m. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on August 24, 2023.
