An individual from Shallow Lake is facing impaired driving-related charges stemming from a single motor vehicle collision that had occurred on Grey Road 18, in the Municipality of Meaford.
On Wednesday, August 20, at approximately 12:10 p.m., Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Grey Road 18 near Sideroad 15, in the Municipality of Meaford. The driver had crashed into the ditch. There were no injuries.
A 19-year-old from Shallow Lake is charged with:
- Operation while Impaired – Alcohol
- Operation while Impaired – 80 plus
- Dangerous Operation
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on September 4.
