Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a local Meaford resident with stunt driving.
On April 25, at approximately 3:09 p.m., members of the Grey Bruce OPP were conducting school patrol at Georgian Bay Community School.
Officers observed a motor vehicle spinning tires while departing the parking lot in front of numerous children and adults, which led to a traffic stop being initiated on the roadway.
As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old from Meaford is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Drive motor vehicle- perform stunt
Anyone charged with Drive Motor Vehicle- Perform stunt receives a 14-day impoundment and a 30-day driver’s licence suspension as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court, Owen Sound, on May 26.
