Members of the Meaford Apple Harvest Craft Show Committee recently visited Georgian Bay Community School to make a special presentation in honour of two long-time members of the committee. Kay and Dennis Freeborn have recently retired from the committee after many years of volunteering for the annual show.
The $5,000 donation is being used to provide stand up mixers and stainless steel prep tables for the Culinary program, and a 3-D printer for the Technical program at the school.
The Freeborns were thanked for the dedication and commitment they have provided during their time with the Apple Harvest Craft Show. Proceeds from this annual event are donated back to the community with well over $1 million now supporting many community programs and events.
