With the October 26 municipal election approaching, now is the time to start learning about the candidates. As we do for each municipal election, on October 1, The Meaford Independent will publish a special municipal election issue featuring profiles of all of the candidates for council, which will help readers to review all candidate information in one place.
The Meaford Independent will also host a Meet the Candidates event on Wednesday, October 14, beginning at 6 p.m., at the Riverside Community Centre.
This is a chance to meet and greet the candidates in an informal setting, with each candidate allotted a separate area to display their campaign platform and literature, and to meet voters face to face.
