The recent realignment of GBHS Surgical Services has identified that there was a need for a new pediatric crash cart at the Meaford site. The Lions Club of Meaford jumped at the opportunity to use the proceeds from their Bingo nights and other fundraisers to pay for the cart.
Starting January 2019, Southampton’s dental block will be reallocated to the Meaford OR every other Thursday, with the majority of the patients being pediatric patients, three years and greater.
To ensure the healthcare team has the equipment to assist in an emergency situation within the day surgery units a pediatric crash cart was required.
“We thank The Lions Club of Meaford for their support!” said the Meaford Hospital Foundation.
