Obituary
Vernon Boyd, of Meaford passed away peacefully at the Meaford General Hospital on Friday July 27, 2018. At The age of 84.
Born in Meaford on May 7, 1934, Vernon was the son of the late Leslie and Lyla ( Nee Morrison) Boyd.
Vernon was the beloved husband of 65 years to Lois (Nee Wright) Boyd.
He was a loving father of Patricia Boyd-Miller of Collingwood, Isabelle Ridd (Bill) of Meaford, Margaret Burke (Lawrence) of Barrie, Valerie Hackett (Gary) of Collingwood.
Predeceased by daughter June Jansen but remembered by son-in-law Ernie of Welland.
Cherished Grandpa of Gregory (Karin) Miller, Jonathan (Allison) Miller, Amy (Ilia) Gouchtine, Amber (Jay) Cameron, Samantha (Sean) Driesel, Vanessa Jansen, Bill (Jane) Ridd, Frazier and Nathan Hackett and proud great grandpa to twelve.
Dear brother of Elva Clarke, Marion Henderson and Lynne (Dave) Ralph. Brother in law of Bob (Laurie) Wright and Charlie Wright.
Predeceased by sister Jean Sewell, and brother in laws, Douglas Clarke, Howard Sewell and Harold Henderson.
A funeral Service will be held on Monday July 30th at 11am at the Meaford United Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Meaford.
