On May 20, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an unknown male acting strangely at Raper Park located at the corner of Sykes St. N. and Bayfield St., in the Municipality of Meaford.
Police located the male inside the gazebo in the park and found him to be highly intoxicated. Several bottles of wine and a bottle of vodka were seized.
The male was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Meaford OPP Detachment where he was lodged until sober.
The 57 year-old Meaford man was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for being intoxicated in a public place under the Liquor Licence Act (LLA).
