Thankful For Return of Lost Credit Card

Dear Sir,

Last Saturday I went for a walk about town, picking up a few vitamins at the IDA on my way. My credit card was in my pocket. I happily strolled down Sykes and took pics all along the way of the darling scarecrows and walked along the lovely Georgian Trail wending my way home toward the east side of town.

On Monday I went to grab my credit card for something and it was not there. It was gone. Finally remembering exactly what I wore on that walk, I checked all the pockets and possible hiding places several times over to no avail.

On Tuesday the credit card company called to tell me that my September payment hadn’t been made. What!?! I always pay that post-datedly as soon as I get it. And I couldn’t report the card as stolen because my balance was more than zero. So I immediately paid the bill (on-line), but the payment would take 2 days to process. (Why??). I couldn’t report it lost or stolen till Thursday.

My girlfriend banged loudly on my door on Wednesday morning. She had my credit card in her hand. She’d found it on a post on the walkway near the Georgian Trail. Such a joyful relief you cannot imagine!

So I want to say a great big THANK YOU to the person who found the card and put it on the post to be found five days later. Thank you.
