Dear Editor,
Please remind your readers that this health care crunch is not new. It started when professional advisors told Bob Ray that he needed to cut medical classes, knowing doctors would be retiring together. Now too many ex-premiers are on the boards of directors in private clinics. What chance does public health care have when premiers take advantage of private investors at the expense of public health care? What will our grandchildren have when their kids are sick and they have no money to pay? What if you have a heart attack outside the hospital that is closed and you have to drive twenty minutes to the next one?
Charlie Angus is coming to the area. He has ideas but only the people who inherited a great Health Care system and then threw it away can cause the government to stop the destruction. Remember that we are creating our grandchildren’s future. Google Ontario Health Coalition and see what you can do to help, even if it is only to spread the word. We ARE our brother’s keepers.
Sincerely,
Roberta Docherty, Meaford
