Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle in Meaford

The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Collingwood resident following a collision involving a pedestrian in the Municipality of Meaford.

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Grey Bruce OPP responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a pickup truck at the intersection of Sykes Street North and Trowbridge Street.

Emergency services, including Grey County Paramedic Services, attended the scene. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result, a 22-year-old driver from Collingwood has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Careless Driving Causing Bodily Harm

The accused is scheduled to appear in Provincial Offences Court in Owen Sound on July 7, 2025.
