The South Grey Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2nd Annual Open Barns, Open Doors event on Sunday, September 13. This free, family-friendly day offers a rare chance to explore three distinct agricultural settings, each with its own hands-on activities and local flavour.
Round Hill Farms
Meet the cows, chickens, and ducks, check out the tractor show, and browse the vendor market. Kids can enjoy face painting while the whole family strolls through the gardens or grabs a bite from the cash BBQ.
Chatsworth Honey
Go behind the scenes of beekeeping and honey production with guided tours and honey tastings. Discover locally made honey, beeswax products, candles, maple syrup, and more, with market vendors on site.
Happy Acres
Get up close with friendly farm animals, including guided alpaca walks, donkey grooming, miniature horse brushing, and time with goats, sheep, potbelly pigs, and chickens. A hands-on, educational experience for animal lovers of all ages.
Whether visiting one location or all three, guests will come away with a deeper appreciation for the farms and producers that make South Grey’s agricultural community so special.
