Meaford resident Chuck Gouett will begin the fulfillment of a ‘Bucket List Journey’ from St. John’s, Nfld. to Victoria, BC, in early June.
He will be shipping his car to St. John’s in late May to be ready for the journey when he arrives. Chuck, now 86,was a former member of the RCMP, and he intends to visit his retired colleagues along the way as he crosses Canada.
After arriving in Victoria at the end of June he plans to travel down through the United States to San Francisco and on to New Orleans, where he will attend a cooking school for a few days. He will then return to Meaford in late July.
The entire trip will be approximately 17,000 km, and take seven weeks. Chuck will keep us posted as he completes his journey.
