On Friday, July 19, the Meaford Rotary hosted their annual Fish Fry at the Russ Bumstead Rotary Harbour Pavilion. Members of the Georgian Bay Coyotes were there to help set up tables, bus tables, man the rinsing station, and take down afterwards.
One of the Coyotes, 13-year-old Bryson Cleland, was there throughout the dinner service serenading the audience with his sweet vocals and ukulele. Cleland used his talents and ingenuity to serve two purposes. He entertained the masses while they waited in line and he collected donations for his track club. Incredibly, the crowds were very generous, and his efforts raised $383 for the Coyote club. Coaches, parents, and kids alike all wanted to thank Bryson and all of those who kindly donated to the cause.
“We look forward to using the funds for our annual cross-country race in September,” said the club.
