Meaford’s Goldenaires choir has continued its tradition of supporting local school music programs with a $500 donation to the music department at Meaford Community School for instrument care and maintenance.
The popular choir has been entertaining audiences in Meaford since 1969.
The choir holds semi-annual concerts on the first Sunday of May, and again on the first Sunday of December at the Meaford United Church. They also sing for appreciative audiences at local long-term care facilities.
Among the musical repertoire for the Goldenaires are secular, spiritual and contemporary music sung in three-part harmony.
Profits from Goldenaires concerts are passed along to Meaford school music programs or community outreach programs.
