Two GBSS Students Charged With Drug Offences

Two students attending Georgian Bay Secondary School in Meaford face drug related charges following an investigation by Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on Thursday, January 22, 2015.

Grey County OPP was called to investigate after a teacher had observed what appeared to be a drug transaction between the two students within the school.

A 15 year old male, from The Blue Mountains, has been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking (under 3 kg) under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

A second 15 year old male, from the Municipality of Meaford, has been charged with possession of marijuana under 30 grams under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Both are scheduled to appear in Court in Owen Sound on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.
