Following a decision made at the Council meeting on Monday, May 15, the Municipality of Meaford has partnered with YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce to manage the operations of the Blue Dolphin Pool for the 2023 season.
“The Municipality of Meaford recognizes the importance of Blue Dolphin Pool as a summer staple for the Meaford community and is excited to be able to open to the public for the 2023 season,” said the Municipality.
The YMCA Aquatics team is currently busy developing the pool schedule which will include swim lessons, open (public) swims, lane swims and other fun aquatic programs. More information on the pool programs and registration will be shared as it becomes available. Updates will be communicated on both the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce and Municipality of Meaford’s website and social media feeds.
Eligible residents will be able to apply for a recreation subsidy for access to swim lessons and public swim season passes through the Meaford Recreation Subsidy Program and the County of Grey Social Initiatives Fund.
