Dear Editor,
In the last few weeks I have read numerous letters by citizens of Meaford, concerned about the never ending increase in the price of water and sewage rates. Perhaps Meaford could impose a separate development charge on new construction to help pay for the cost of infrastructure. This is regularly done in large cities like Toronto and Mississauga. If Meaford is already doing this, perhaps they should review the charges levied.
Also, are all of these bulk water trucks that I see filling up at the water treatment plant off of Highway 26, paying their fair share?
