Originally, St. George’s, Anglican Parish for the Blue Mountains, carefully planned two Christmas Eve in-person services on each of the four nights before Christmas.
Seventy percent of the available places were quickly reserved by parishioners and friends of St. George’s, many from Collingwood. Then Collingwood and Simcoe County were moved into the COVID-19 Red Zone. This prompted the church Wardens to suspend all in-person worship, particularly the eight special in-person Christmas Eve services the week before Christmas.
However, these special Christmas Eve services will now be offered virtually on-line on the St. George’s YouTube channel:

There will be traditional carols on video, readings, and reflections for this festive season.
“Be assured that the cancellation of in-person worship will not impact St. George’s outreach ministries, Church Beyond Our Doors. Preparations by our volunteers will continue for the 500-dinner, Town of the Blue Mountain Christmas Feast to be delivered or picked up,” said the church. “A huge thank you to all the volunteers who have contributed to this wonderful gesture of generosity to the people of the Blue Mountains. Contributions to St. George’s and its outreach program can be made by calling 519-599-3047 or a donation mailed to St. George’s, Box 9, Clarksburg, ON, N0H 1J0.”
