Has your real estate agent told you about TransCanada Energy’s mega-proposal (Ontario Pumped Storage) knocking on Meaford’s door?
Probably not. But don’t jump on the realtor. Unless the seller gives direction, they are not obliged to tell you about Meaford’s game-changing developments. And let’s face it; why would a seller jeopardize the sale of a client’s property?
You may also ask, didn’t my realtor know? Probably. And that’s another story. But ultimately, isn’t it the buyer’s responsibility to investigate a potential home’s political climate?
Don’t get me wrong. Realtors are some of the hardest working people I know. My own dear mother was a successful agent. It’s a tough gig dealing with buyers and sellers, often over many months.
