Planning and Building Services Moving Back to Meaford’s Municipal Office

The Municipality of Meaford is bringing together all customer service by moving planning and building services.

As of Friday, September 12, all in-person planning and building services will be available at the Municipal Office, 21 Trowbridge Street West, Meaford.

The municipality said that this change is designed to serve you better:

  • One-stop service: Whether you are a resident, builder, or business owner, you will now be able to access planning, building permits, taxes, utilities, and other municipal services all in a single location.
  • Improved collaboration: With municipal teams working together under one roof, they can provide faster, more coordinated support for your needs and projects.
  • Clearer customer experience: You’ll no longer need to visit multiple offices, all administrative services will now be available at the Municipal Office, 21 Trowbridge Street West, Meaford.

What You Need to Know

  • As of September 12, please visit the Municipal Office for all planning and building inquiries.
  • The former office at 15 Trowbridge Street will no longer be open to the public for these services. If you go there by mistake, clear signage will guide you to the new location.
  • All mail, including payments and correspondence, should now be directed to the Municipal Office, 21 Trowbridge Street West, Meaford, ON N4L 1A1.
  • All existing customer services at 21 Trowbridge Street West will continue without change, including taxes, utilities, and general municipal inquiries.
  • The boardroom at 15 Trowbridge will still be available for external meetings, but it will not provide customer service. If you have a meeting scheduled with a member of staff, please check in first at the Office at 21 Trowbridge Street West.

This change is about making municipal services easier, convenient, and more accessible for residents and businesses. We look forward to welcoming you to our Municipal Office and continuing to help with your projects and questions,” said the municipality.
