Open Fields Farm Tour Locations Announced

The Town of The Blue Mountains and Municipality of Meaford have announced the participating locations for the Open Fields Farm Tour on Saturday, September 27.

The neighbouring communities are proud partners on this year’s tour, highlighting six stops in the area that will offer a behind-the-scenes look at local agriculture. The self-guided tour runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature tours, educational experiences, live music, vendors, and more.

The six locations on this year’s tour are:

Alpine Ridge Alpacas

Nestled in the rolling hills of The Blue Mountains lives a girl and her herd. Meet Samantha and her herd of alpacas, along with the famous Lloree Llamas! Learn all about the animals at Alpine Ridge Alpacas.

Apple Springs Orchard

Meet the Ardiel family at their orchard, where generations have grown apples with care and dedication. Tour the orchards, learn about their traditions and innovations, and experience the passion that makes their farm a family legacy.

Coffin Ridge Vineyard & Winery

The most common comment they hear after someone visits the winery is this: Coffin Ridge is magical. Learn how they’ve been turning 22 acres of cold-hardy grapes into signature wines for over twenty years.

Purple Hollow Lavender Farm

Grey & Gold Cider

Roy and Sarah McAllister, along with their six sons, operate Valley Ridge Family Farm. Experience a true family farm operation with the McAllisters, where you can meet the animals and get up close with farm equipment.

Open Fields is a free, rain-or-shine event that is open to all members of the public. Visitors are encouraged to wear proper footwear for a day on the farm.
