Mary Wilson passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Meaford Long Term Care Centre on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the age of 94.
Born in Hungary on September 25, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Valentine and Clara (nee Trazer) Fuchs.
Mary was the cherished wife of James ‘Jim’ Wilson of Meaford. She was the much-loved mother of Dennis Novak (Kristin) and Bruce Novak. Mary was the proud grandmother of Lara Roberts (Dan), Jeremy Novak (Ashley), Nathan Novak (Chatelle), and great-grandmother of Jamal, India, and Oscar.
She was the dear sister of Valentine Fuchs (Judy) and John Fuchs (Kathy).
Mary will be remembered fondly by Jim’s family and by her many friends in the community. She liked spending time tending to her garden when she was able and loved to admire how beautiful the flowers were during the different seasons. Mary also enjoyed reading and keeping busy with her hands with needlepoint.
A funeral mass will be conducted at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in Meaford on Friday, December 9, 2022, at 11 o’clock. Interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford.
