It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doug on Monday, October 18, 2021. Doug suffered for many years with multiple cancers. Not once did he give up hope during his journey.
He was an avid golfer and fly fisherman since he retired from the OPP as Superintendent in 1994. Doug and his wife Marie traveled extensively during their 59 years of marriage, golfing around North America. Born in Meaford, Doug leaves behind his wife, Marie Ormsby ( nee Bothwell), daughter Beverly Frosch, son Brad Ormsby (Jennifer). Doug took great pride in his grandchildren, Max and Grace Ormsby, Victoria Bowes (Corey) and Harrison Frosch, and one great-granddaughter Cayleigh Bowes. Doug’s siblings are Helen Woodhouse, Leonard Ormsby (Debbie), Cay Fraser (Don). He is predeceased by his sister Evelyn Fligg ( Howard). Online condolences can be expressed at www.evansfh.ca.
