Brad Ferris passed away at his home in Meaford on Friday, November 3, 2023, at the age of 65.
Born on October 20, 1958 in Meaford, he was the son of the late Roy and Eleanor (nee Loucks) Ferris.
Brad is survived by his son Nate Johnson Ferris (Win).
He was predeceased by his sisters Brenda Schultz (late David) and Darlene Vallins (late Carron).
Brad will be remembered fondly by his nieces Angela Morris (Glenn), Cindy Frost (Oliver), Rhawnie Vallins (Tania), his nephew Jeff Vallins (Melanie), and his great-nieces and nephews.
Brad was a kind, caring and thoughtful uncle and friend. He will be missed but will never be forgotten.
In his early years Brad loved everything that moved fast. He was extremely bright and knowledgeable and was willing and able to discuss anything. Brad was forward thinking about the impact of today’s decisions on the environment in years to come. He knew many facts and definitely had his opinions! Brad was a talented and skilled carpenter. He loved to cook and was very proud of his vegetable garden. Brad spent many years fishing on the shores of the Big Head River and Georgian Bay. This was definitely his happy place with family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a private interment will take place at Lakeview Cemetery.
