Lyle Boyle of Meaford passed away with family by his side on Friday, June 9, 2023, at the Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound at the age of 75.
Lyle was born in Collingwood on July 8, 1947, a son of the late Helen (nee White) and Carmen Boyle. Lyle was predeceased by his sisters Marilyn and Brenda as well as his brother Kevin.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Dawn Boyle (nee O’Neil), sisters Renai (Brian) Perks, Indra (Ron) Raynor, Sherry Lynn (Gary) Clarke, his children Kellie Kirkwood, Scott Boyle, Teresa Wilson, and stepchildren Laurie (Carlos) Smits, Terrie Hamilton, and Robin Hamilton (Lana).
Lyle was the much loved and proud Grampa of Meg (Brad) Holstock, Noah Wilson, Bonnie Kirkwood, Keenan Smits, Cole (Sky) Smits, Grady Hamilton, and Michael Desimone, and great-Grampa of Max and Patrick Holstock. He will be remembered fondly by his sisters-in-law Peg Yanyk, Kay O’Neil (Len Ardiel), and Kerry O’Neil, and by all of his family and friends. Lyle will never be forgotten.
Lyle loved boating, golfing, and spending quiet time listening to his music. He and his wife loved to travel and also spend time with family.
Lyle’s life will be celebrated at the Marsh Street Centre in Clarksburg on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 1 until 4 p.m., with tributes at 2 o’clock.
