With a mixture of sorrow and relief, we announce the passing of Kate Belec at age 78, on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at Meaford Long Term Care, after a lengthy illness.
Kate is survived by her husband of 56 years, Mike Belec; her daughter Jennifer Thompson; grandsons Sean and Jamie Thompson; her nine siblings; and her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mike and Jen would like to thank the staff at Lee Manor Long-term Care, and Meaford Long-term Care for the care they provided Kate in her final years.
A Celebration of Life will take place on October 19, 2024, at Meaford Hall in the Galleries from 12:30 until 4 p.m. with tributes at 2 o’clock.
