Registration is now open for Mixed Movements’ new co-ed recreational NFL FLAG Football League, beginning Sunday, August 9, at Georgian Bay Community School in Meaford.
After a great start to the current NFL FLAG League in Thornbury, Mixed Movements is bringing the fun and energy of flag football to Meaford this summer. The Thornbury season has already featured touchdown runs, interceptions, close games, and athletes building confidence while learning the game in a positive team environment.
The new Meaford league will give local families an opportunity to experience flag football close to home. Open to athletes ages 7–14, the program is designed for players of all skill levels, whether they are brand new to football or already have experience. Each session will give athletes the chance to learn the game, stay active, develop new skills, and be part of a team in a fun, welcoming, and non-contact setting.
Ahead of the season, families are invited to attend a Free Trial Day on Saturday, July 11, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Tomahawk Recreation Complex in Thornbury. This free event will give athletes the chance to try flag football, learn some of the basics, meet the Mixed Movements team, and see what NFL FLAG is all about before registering for the season.
NFL FLAG is one of North America’s fastest-growing youth sports programs and provides athletes with a fun and accessible way to learn the game of football in a non-contact setting.
