Meaford International Women’s Day Event a Huge Success

The Meaford International Women’s Day event held on March 7 was a resounding success, with more than 100 women attending the vibrant and energized gathering in celebration of community connection and woman power. The event created a space for women to come together, share their experiences, and showcase their achievements.

The highlight of the event was a powerful panel discussion featuring four exceptional local women: Penny Eizenga, Susanne Langmuir, Megan Silk, and Bernadette Mervyn. Each shared their personal stories of triumph, challenges, and perseverance, inspiring all in attendance to continue to break barriers and reach for their dreams.

In addition to the engaging speakers, the event featured a Vendor Marketplace showcasing the talents and creations of local women-owned businesses. The marketplace was filled with a variety of handmade goods, fashion, art, and services, providing an excellent opportunity for women entrepreneurs to showcase their work and connect with the community.

All in support of the Meaford Hospital foundation and the Meaford Culture Foundation. Another great example of community spirit and collaboration.

The energy in the room was truly exceptional,” said event organizer Andrea Roylance. “It was incredible to see so many women come together to support one another, celebrate their achievements, and inspire future generations. This event was a testament to the strength and resilience of women in our community.”

The winner of the total refresh raffle was Penny Eizenga. Thank you to the many donors to this wonderful prize and thank you to our event sponsors Canadian Pet Connection Harbour hound distributing Georgian Bay fan con the ear clinic and Brenda Tulio house in order and SCP centre and the coworker corner thanks also to the food and beverage sponsors, events like this take a village,” said organizers.
