Editor,
Like many of us in Meaford (and Ontario, and Canada, and beyond) I’m worried about our energy use, fossil fuel corporations, and how to access that free energy (available 365 days of the year) the sun!
Good news, here’s help, and it’s a start.
If you don’t already know, Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is the Ontario regulator that monitors, at each moment, our energy needs. IESO makes sure we have a stable grid, but they know we need to get off fossil energy, so they’re offering all these programs so we can get rolling. It’s amazing! Have a look and see if any of these programs work for you.
By the way, IESO TWICE rejected TCEnergy’s pumped storage project. So I’m wondering why our Council has overlooked these IESO programs and stuck us in the TCE groove?Funding Finder: https://saveonenergy.ca/
