The Georgian Shores U11 Rep hockey team has claimed victory in the OMHA Region 5 tier 3 division with a stunning 8-3 win against the Shelburne Wolves. The game took place in front of an enthusiastic crowd of supporters in Meaford on March 21, adding to the excitement of their already impressive season.
This outstanding team, consisting of Jake Boyd, Sam Elkins, Cullen Ladly, Colton Winch, Spencer Stroud, Parker Yaskovitch, Benjamin Vandolder, William MacArthur, Mack Irani, Cooper Yaskovitch, Alex Heslip, Mitchell Scott, Mason Tanner, and Bentley Kenyon, have proven to be a dominant force in their division, and their latest win has cemented their reputation as top contenders.
The coaching staff, Marty Elkins, Al Scott, Jason MacArthur, Jess Elkins, and Cyrus Irani, couldn’t be prouder of the team’s accomplishments. With their victory over Shelburne, Georgian Shores has secured a spot in the 2023 OMHA Championship Red Hat tournament, taking place in Windsor April 7-9. Though they will face fierce competition from other teams across the province, the Georgian Shores Lightning are determined to keep their winning streak alive and claim the championship title.
