The Owen Flounders, a 65+ hockey team comprised of residents of Grey-Bruce, including four from Meaford, have earned some bragging rights after winning the 2022 Ontario Senior Games Invitational 65+ Hockey Tournament.
In their final game, the Flounders defeated Brampton, who have been Canadian Champions in previous years.
