Bag Tag Changes Coming July 6

The Municipality of Meaford advises residents of upcoming changes to garbage collection that will take effect on Monday, July 6. Under the updated policy, one garbage bag will be collected at no cost, while tags will be required for the second and third bags.

With the update, the Municipality will introduce new green coloured tags to replace the current orange tags. Each tag will cost $5.50 and can be purchased at the Municipal Office located at 21 Trowbridge Street West, Meaford, or through a verified vendor. The full list of vendors can be found at meaford.ca/waste.

The updated policy supports long-term waste reduction goals and ensures that collection services remain financially sustainable.

Recycling and green bin collection continue to be free and do not require tags.
