December is off to a busy start at the Meaford Public Library with a number of fun programs for young and old.

How about 12 Days of Christmas Library style? In both the Adult and Junior Departments, the library will be offering something fun every day from Thursday, December 6 to Friday, December 21 inclusive. The Library will feature a simple craft, an activity, or a tasty snack. Drop by and see what’s on for the day!

Santa is coming for a Story Time visit! On Wednesday, December 19, the jolly old elf himself will be on hand following the Story Time session in the Junior Library. Drop by, meet Santa, and share your wishes with him.

Hunt for the Elf on the Shelf! The Junior Library has been invaded by a funny little elf. From December 3 to 21, watch for him doing something silly. Where is he today?

Other festive happenings include a Holiday Wrap session on Friday, December 14 at 3 p.m. in the library board room. Bring in some unwrapped gifts and create your own unique wrapping paper and gift tags – supplies included, free of charge. Plus we have the Christmas Card Exchange at the main floor circulation desk – bring in last year’s unused cards and envelopes and take home some new-to-you cards. Feel like some seasonal colouring? Drop in to our Holiday Colouring Page throughout December. We have festive colouring pages in the library reading room with lots of gorgeous pens and pencils for you to create a holiday masterpiece.

For more information about any of these great events, drop by the library, give us a call at 519-538-1060 ext. 1123 or check out our website: www.meafordlibrary.on.ca. Please note there is no elevator access to the Meaford Public Library board room or the Junior Library.
