readathon2018photo270What could be more fun than a Read-a-thon for kids to help raise funds for the new Meaford Public Library?

From Wednesday, September 19 to Friday, October 19, children of all ages are able to participate in this fun fundraiser. Just commit to a goal for the number of books you will read, pick the books, and then ask family and friends to sponsor your reading goals.

Sponsorship can be pledged by the number of books read or as a single amount for participating in the event. You can read a novel, graphic novel, comic book, picture book, or listen to an audio-book. Anything goes! Each participant must have an adult, parent, guardian, or teacher sign to confirm that you have read or listened to the book.

Plus there are great prizes to be won. All participants will receive a prize when they return their pledge form and tally sheet to the Meaford Public Library. And the three participants who raise the most money and read the greatest number of books will receive special prizes.

This event is hosted by the Meaford Public Library Fundraising Committee.

Come by the library soon to pick up pledge forms, information, and check out books to read!
