Meaford Couple Charged With Theft of Lottery Tickets

opp logo270On October 20, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a Meaford couple with theft after an ongoing investigation.

On September 8, Grey County OPP were called to investigate the theft of lottery tickets from the Ultramar gas station located on Sykes Street North in the Municipality of Meaford.

The suspects were identified on the store’s surveillance video. The OLG (Ontario Lottery and Gaming) assisted in the investigation.

Thirty-three year-old Victoria McNiece and 33 year-old Jeromy Dalton Wright, both of Meaford, were each charged with theft under $5,000. They are scheduled to appear in court on December 1 in Owen Sound.

McNiece was an employee at the Ultramar gas station at the time of the theft.
