On the morning of March 27, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an attempted break-in to a residence on Parklane Crescent in the Municipality of Meaford.
The homeowner had heard strange noises outside her residence. When she went to investigate, she observed two females attempting to open a locked kitchen window at the rear of the residence. The two females fled on foot towards Memorial Park.
The suspects were believed to be approximately 16-17 years of age. The primary suspect was described as having long blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail, wearing a white hat and a grey jacket. Both were wearing tight pants.
There was damage done to a basement window screen in an effort to gain entry into the residence.
Grey County OPP continue to investigate and ask anyone with information which may assist to contact them at 1-888310-1122.
