As is evident looking from anywhere along the shoreline – the DND property to Meaford Harbour, TCE is presently conducting major offshore geotechnical drilling in Georgian Bay. This work is part of their ongoing pre-development studies for the Pumped Storage Project. Funding for this work is via Doug Ford & the Ontario tax payers.
TCE published & distributed a glossy brochure briefly outlining the work, indicating their intent to keeping the community informed & even inviting public input by way of weekly coffee chats.
I signed up for one such chat & met with their contracted representative Clark Little on July 16 to respond to a number (of) my concerns regarding this work.
Subsequently, on July 20, Clark asked me to formalize my 7 questions and submit them to himself & Sara Beasley of TCE for documentation purposes & for their reply. I did exactly that on the same day.
As of today (August 20) I have not received any response whatsoever, not even a simple acknowledgement that they received my email.
On August 9, I submitted another email requesting status of their reply. This email also has gone unanswered.
I have spoken to several other residents and property owners in Meaford who likewise have requested answers to questions and who likewise have received no response.
I’m suggesting that TCE is, in fact not the least bit concerned nor interested in keeping us informed contrary to what they claim in their glossy brochure.
This is disgraceful in terms of public relations.
People like me have no recourse other than to spread the word of our woeful experience in dealing with such a reckless and irresponsible company!
