Did you know that every $1 invested in Big Brother Big Sister programming returns between $18-$23 to society through taxes, higher incomes, volunteerism, and charitable donations?
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce and Western Simcoe (BBBSGBWS) is less than a month away from its much-anticipated annual charity golf tournament, and it’s the perfect opportunity for our community to come together to raise funds for our youth-focused initiatives.
The event will take place on Saturday, September 23, at the Sauble Golf & Country Club, with Scotia Wealth Management, the Power Workers’ Union, and Beyond Reach Productions sponsoring this treasured event. With a shared commitment to giving back to the community, all proceeds from the tournament will be used to support the mission and vision of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Grey Bruce and Western Simcoe. BBBSGBWS currently serves over 160 youth in community and in-school mentoring programs.
The Golf Fore Kids’ Sake Tournament is already garnering lots of attention from community-based businesses and residents, so much so that only six team spots remain! There’s no doubt our region likes to have fun and support the well-being of our youth. Therefore, we’re encouraging golf enthusiasts to head over to the BBBSGBWS website to register while there is still time.
Event Highlights Include:
• Scramble Format: The tournament will follow a fun-filled scramble format, suitable for golfers of all levels, allowing participants to focus on enjoyment and socializing.
• Exciting Prizes: Participants will have the chance to win fabulous prizes generously donated by local businesses and sponsors.
• Golf Banquet: The day will culminate in a delicious banquet dinner where winners will be celebrated, and heartfelt thanks will be extended to all participants and contributors.
• Silent Auction: Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on exclusive items and experiences in a silent auction, with all proceeds benefiting our cause.
