It was pointed out that 300 scarecrows end up in landfill when the invasion is over.
I have an alternative suggestion. Why not send them out in a blaze of glory. Pile them up somewhere and have a community bonfire complete with hot dogs and pop, maybe throw in a few fireworks for good luck.
From what I have read, the contribution to global warming is identical. Whether we let them rot or burn them, they create the same amount of CO02 and a bonfire is so much more fun.
