To the Editor,
I was never a really avid supporter of the Monarchy in general, but I did have a great deal of respect of her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. I am therefore sad at her passing. I know that many Canadians do feel sad, but realize that many do not.
This is fine, but I feel that interest groups, whether they be indigenous people with historical issues to deal with, or anti-monarchist Republicans, could have waited for the ink to dry on the late Queen’s death certificate, and on the ascension papers of King Charles III before starting to air their continuing grievances.
