If you’re walking along the Georgian Trail and are wondering where the wonderful, colourful rock snake has gone, don’t worry, it didn’t disappear south for the winter.
Cleighton’s Rock Snake has slithered on over to the Meaford Museum to take up residence in a permanent display. From a long stretched-out snake it has curled up into a rock garden out front where the colourful stones can be seen by passersby.
Inside, a smaller selection of rocks are on display with explanations about where Cleighton got his ideas from and how many rocks are in the collection.
So if you want to play ‘Where’s Waldo’ and look for your rock, head on down to the Meaford Museum and see the new home of the Georgian Trail Rock Snake.
