Grey County OPP are investigating a series of break-ins along Lakeshore Road N., in Meaford.
“On Saturday, August 2, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a break-in in progress at a cottage on Lakeshore Rd. N., in the Municipality of Meaford. Two male suspects entered the cottage while the occupants were sleeping. The suspects fled on foot when confronted by the homeowner,” said the OPP.
During the investigation, police discovered three other residences, as well as one vehicle in the area, had been entered. The residences and the vehicle were insecure.
The OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine Unit were called to assist. During the search for the suspects, numerous items which had been stolen, including a camera, cell phone and identification, were recovered in the area.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the two male suspects; described as:
– non-white; 5’9” – 5’10” tall; under 40 years of age.
