Obituary
Born in St. Vincent Township on March 5, 1929, a daughter of the late Morrison and Elda (nee Laycock) Stewart, Doris passed away in Meaford, on October 30, 2020, at the age of 91.
Doris, who had retired to Gooderham to be near family, was a longtime resident of Meaford who had recently returned to the Meaford Long Term Care Home.
She is remembered as the loving mother of Donna (Ken) Scarrow of Gooderham, and Gramma to Teresa Carroll (Nathan) of Clarksburg and Ryan Carroll (Sara) of Stayner. She was a dear sister to Marlene Byers, Lois (Don) Emmerson, Myrt Beatty, and Jean Riddell, all of Owen Sound, and will be remembered also by several nieces and nephews and their families.
A family funeral service, officiated by Reverend SallyAnn Longfellow, was conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E., Meaford, ON, N4L 1B9, followed by a service of committal and interment at Annan Cemetery.
