The Meaford Scarecrow Invasion and Family Festival has once again this year been designated one of Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) 2020 Top 100 festivals and events.
The top 100 list is compiled by an independent panel of judges who adjudicate submissions from the previous year’s festivals and events – festivals and events of all kinds, from every corner of Ontario – from community festivals to internationally recognized events, according to an FEO media release dated February 27th. “These Top 100 recipients represent festivals and events that excel within the industry,” the release states.
Event chair Donna Earl attributes the invasion and festival’s success to its volunteers and sponsors. “We are truly honoured to be the recipient of this distinguished award for seven consecutive years,” she said. “Without the help of our dedicated and talented volunteers and the generosity of our sponsors, we could not be listed with such prestigious events such as the CNE, TIFF, Winterlude or the Rogers Cup. Thank you.”
