Obituary
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at Gateway Haven in Wiarton, on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Doris Joyce Elizabeth Beacock (nee Atkins), of Owen Sound, at the age of 97 years.
Doris was the English War Bride for 65 years of the late Herbert Beacock (2008). Loving mother of Joyce Knott (Barry), of Hepworth, Elaine Paton (John Hull), of Balmy Beach, Nancy Taylor (Wayne), of Barrie, and Jane Badets (Bill), of Ottawa.
Proud grandmother of Wally, Mark, Alison, Raymond, Carrie, Rebecca, Sarah, Nadine, Catherine, and great-grandmother of Joshua, Matthew, Simon, Avery, Charlie, Henry, Taylor, Cameron, Isaac, Austin, Jackson, Emily, Aidan, and Isabel. Doris will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Dear friend of Jim Paton and his mum, the late Florence Paton. Predeceased by her parents, William and Ethel Atkins; her parents-in-law, George and Pearl Beacock; her in-laws, Carl Beacock (Marie), Ken Beacock (Uriel), Dorothy McQueen (Bill), Myrtle Thomas (John), Elsworth Beacock (Grace) and Gladys Williamson (Herman).

A Funeral Service for Doris Beacock will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 1049 – 4th Avenue East, Owen Sound, on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 11 a.m., with Rev. Graham Bland officiating. Visitation will also be held at the church one hour prior to the service.
Spring interment in Bayview Cemetery, Wiarton. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to St. George’s Anglican Church or the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce as an expression of sympathy.
