Police Continue to Investigate Fatal Collision

opp logo270Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue to investigate a serious two vehicle motor vehicle collision on Highway 26 east of urban Meaford between a pick-up truck and a car that took place on November 12.  

Preliminary investigation reveals that a (blue) pick-up truck travelling eastbound collided with a (red) car travelling westbound.

The driver of the pick-up truck, 56-year-old James Salomon of Grey Highlands was transported by air ambulance to hospital. Despite the efforts of hospital staff Mr. Salomon succumbed to his injuries.  

The driver of the car and passenger were transported to hospital with varying injuries. The driver’s status has been updated and is listed as being in stable condition. The passenger status has also been updated and is listed in stable condition.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) were deployed to the scene and assisted with the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
