Obituary
Passed away peacefully at her home on September 19, 2018, in her 81st year.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janet “Anne” Clements, peacefully at home with her partner W. Cliff Thornton at her side after a long battle with lung cancer.
Anne is survived by her children and grandchildren: Mike Masterson, wife Becky & their daughters Jana & Patricia; Kathy Markham, her husband George & their children Alexandra, Jordan & Ben; Jim Masterson & his partner Marti Doran. And eight great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers Maurice Gardiner & his wife Lil, her brother Gary Gardiner, her sister-in-law Ev Wright & their families, all of Goderich. Sister-in-law Linda Kocurek of Duncan, B.C. She will also be fondly remembered by Cliff’s family: son Brian & his wife Sandy & their daughters Rachel & Erin, his daughter Jennifer & her husband Shawn Keily & their sons Nick & Cameron.
Anne was predeceased by her late husband Bud, two brothers Ken & Jim and her parents Hugh & Ola (nee Johnstone).
There will be a Celebration of Life at the Woodford Hall on Saturday October 27, between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Donations to the Meaford Hospital Foundation, Meaford Medical Clinic, or a charity of your choice are greatly appreciated.
