6th Annual Run Blue Mountains This Weekend

running shoes270The Thornbury-Clarksburg Rotary Club, in partnership with Events for Life Centre Inc. and Hope Haven Therapeutic Riding Centre, will host the Sixth Annual Run Blue Mountains this weekend.

Starting from the Beaver Valley Community Centre on Sunday, October 14, Run Blue Mountains is a fun event with a course for everyone:

  • a 1 K walk/run for all ages – registration free

  • a 5 K walk/run for kids 12 and under – registration fee $25

  • a 5 K walk/run for all ages – registration fee $45

  • a 10 K walk/run – registration fee $60

  • a 21 K half marathon – registration fee $75

Participants enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, the ability to choose an event that suits their abilities, and for the more serious runner, a run through beautiful apple country in the Beaver Valley. Registration includes a participation medal, a toque and lunch.

Register online at www.runbluemountains.ca. Race kits can be picked up Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. or Sunday from 8 to 9 a.m.

Proceeds will go to each organization to help support the activities that each group does for individuals in their communities.
